Over 100 years of history
Reisafjord Hotel
The hotel was established in 1920 by hotellier Peder Eriksen. Peder had previously been working at hotels in Tromsø and Hammerfest, before he decided to open his own hotel in Sørkjosen. The hotel was called Sørkjos Hotel, and was not much bigger than a family home of today's standard.
Peder was a busy man, as he also did the bookkeeping for the local bank. After the war had ended, the bank was run from inside the hotel while the bank building was restored.
